Thank you for your recent letter regarding your daughter's most unfortunate encounter with a gun.

The positive response she has received from other youth about her experience is very encouraging. I agree that education is the key to prevention of gun violence, and I applaud your on-going commitment to extend your message to young people throughout the nation.
