Boy shot in chest

A 13-year-old Comanche Cove boy was in stable condition at presstime Monday after being shot in the chest Sunday night in Stroud Creek Estates, said deputies.
The 6:30 p.m. incident occurred at a boat dock on Stroud Creek just north of Granbury, stated sheriff¹s department captain Jerry East. A .22 long rifle accidentally went off and hit the teen in the right side of the chest after he propped it up on the boat dock, East stated.
The boy was CareFlited to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, where he was treated for a collapsed lung, East said. 11th-grader
